Today Mrs Barns gave us wedges of lemon and we had to describe it without using the word 'lemon'. We found this quite difficult as all we wanted to say was lemon! Here is some of our writing.
I am writing about a golden fruit. I do not like it. This fruit is as sour as vinegar. It's like an upside-down ice cream in a cone. The fruit is the colour of dazzling Fijian sand. It is outpouring with its juice.

The florescent bumpy-surfaced orb sits on my palm, bubbly and bright, waiting to be eaten. Different colours splash out at my eyes.
Small, oval shaped fruit pieces shine, juices visible. Still waiting, screaming to be eaten. Bumpy edges facing down, he still waits, impatient now, frozen in the same place.
His pungent smell is slowly escaping into the air. I give in. I have a taste. Acrid juices enter my mouth. The bitter taste overwhelms me. My face cringes in disgust.-

The zestful fragrance approached my tastebuds. The juice capsules squirm as they touch my tongue. My eye twitches in exchange for zingy bitterness. Amber citrus peel lies on my hand. Primrose acrid freshness curls my pink tongue.-
Brianna
The sour taste of the glistening fruit shot straight up my nose. The hint of sweetness took a path to my brain and set a whole new memory.
The curved slice of golden fruit sticks to the tissue. Small slices of fruit carry a load of different flavours. The fruit is a zesty bottle squeezing out mercilessly sour juice.
Smells come from all around the fruit. Sour smells interact with my nervous system and make my lips curl up like a shrivelled old lady. Different hands of taste rush out and haunt me.-

It's juicy, tingly, sour golden texture zings up my mouth as it squirts around. It's tingly sour fragrance accelerates through my body as I take a small bite of it.
It's miniature curved body plops into my mouth. It's magnificent little yellow body brightens up my eye when I look at this amazing golden orb. -

The juicy golden thing, fragrant like salt and vinegar sat in the shape of an oval macaroon. My eye twitched, and I got goosebumps. -
Jazz
The bright, golden, juicy fruit woke up my taste buds. The smell hangs around my nose. The shape is circular. The juicy smell flung around in my mouth. -
