Piwakawaka

Mrs Annan (Mrs A) is our teacher for 2020, and we are super excited to be in her class. We are the brand new rising stars of Dorie School, we are in Year 1. Follow us along our Pathways to Excellence.

Learning and having fun at the same time...

Maths and Science through play.....

Making play-dough for Matariki!!!......We learnt about measurement, fractions, volume, cause and affect, chemistry, perseverance, teamwork, turn-taking and how to see things through till the end!!!

Art and creation time.......

During art time we learn and practice how to express our ideas and ourselves, use our imagination, focus, scissor skills, fine motor skills, pencil grip, explore different ways and resources to create, and have a sense of pride once we have completed our masterpieces!!! Here we made cards and pictures for our friends and whānau, pictures of the seven sister Matariki stars and a Matariki paper chain to decorate our classroom!!!
