Such a lovely day - the Native Garden is the place to work...
The Tom Gates group read an article about making horrible frozen hands. we thought it would be fun to try it out! We predicted how long they would take to melt. It was way longer than we thought.
Toroa has been reading 'Holes' by Louis Sacher. It's about a boy called Stanley that ends up at Camp Greenlake, which is not green and also not a lake. He and his compatriots are made to dig holes for hours a day.
We have also been taking part in Chapter Chat which lets us share ideas with other schools through Twitter. Pippo and Ollie tried to dig a hole as big as the ones in the book - five feet in diameter and five feet deep. Some other people did paintings of bus drivers, scorpions and camp sites. |
